Research interest

From the beginning of my professional career as a physiotherapist, the connection between scientific knowledge and practical work with patients has been of great importance to me. Since 2007 I run my own practice. My scientific interest initially led me as the leading physiotherapist of the Department of Neurology and since 2007 in the Institute of Medical Psychology (headed by Prof. Dr. Niels Birbaumer) for the initiation, implementation and publication of numerous research projects. The aim of the studies is the efficacy testing and optimization of therapeutic concepts. A work on stroke rehabilitation was awarded the Susanne Klein Vogelbach Special Award and a work on physiotherapy in ataxia was awarded the German Heredo Ataxia Prize.
